The
local chapter of the BBB, in January, suspended Sader Power
Enterprises' accreditation, noting "failure to provide the BBB with
required licensing information and failure to maintain a satisfactory
rating."More than 30 complaints have been filed against Sader Power
Enterprises with the bureau during the past 18 months. Most have since
been resolved, but the company has been given a grade of "F" by the
organization. It's a rare distinction in the solar industry. In fact, the
BBB grades the overwhelming majority of the solar companies operating in
the New Orleans area at an "A" level.“We have over 3,000 customers and
about 30 complaints filed, but we work on that process," said
Sader.Tucker Crawford is the Gulf States Renewable Energy Industries
Association's president, chosen by local solar-power providers to
represent the group. He is also the CEO of South Coast Solar,They have

incredibly thorough. a local installer of solar-energy systems, and he
is well aware of concerns regarding the industry as a whole.“We have
complaints in the past about certain contractors," said Crawford.
One
of Crawford's concerns is that some contractors may be selling products
they aren't allowed to actually install. The lawsuit alleges that
"defendants do not have a Louisiana State Contractors license,Married
gay couples are also eligible to participate in the bottega bag,
provided that they meet all other eligibility requirements. in
contravention of Louisiana law."It further alleges that those named in
the suit failed to obtain a "classification of solar energy
equipment."The State Contractors Board does not list Sader Power
Enterprises as a licensed contractor, and in a memo sent out last
December, it says: "Entities engaging in the business of selling or
leasing solar equipment must possess a state contractor's license with
the classification of solar energy equipment” if the agreement includes
the installation of that gear.
At
the top of the document: "Licensed Contractor, it's the Law!"In a
statement to the I-Team this week, Sader responded, "The office of the
attorney general for Louisiana has reviewed in detail the contracts and
agreements utilized by Sader Power Enterprises. We are confident that we
are not in violation of any state or federal law.”“Are you guys
skirting the rules because you are not a licensed contractor in
Louisiana?" asked WDSU I-Team reporter Travers Mackel.“No, not at all.
We exceed all contractor standards. Our staff of contractors and
electricians with solar designations that work for us, we purposely work
with GCs across the state to support general contractors and
electricians rather than license ourselves," Sader said. The amount of
